| Every child should experience "serendipity"; the search for one thing but, you find another., Jack Prelutsky, Poet |

This style is similar to Command but the student has some choice in what practice questions they do. These students still require formal instruction but want to have some choice. The Command lesson is their formal instruction and then the students may choose the questions to complete. Task students are required to pick the assignment that is necessary for them to master the items the teacher has taught. The teacher usually offers choices in practice to these students and the degree of choice can vary. These students would like to spread their wings but, are not ready to fly yet and, do not want to be dictated to all the time.
