This is a Teaching Style students rarely choose since they view the contract as more work. These are students who need a small amount of structure/guidance but are not yet ready to be completely Self-Directed. The student is responsible for completing a contract that will detail what they will be doing, how long it will take, and resources they will need, before they start working. Some students require this Teaching Style because they choose to do the unit objectives in a different order than the unit objective timeline. This allows the student to begin to individualize his/her learning. The teacher will sign the contract once she/he agrees to the terms. These students are list-makers, they enjoy freedom but need to have something that keeps them on track.
